Street of Dreams Arizona- House 4

Okay so it's been a while... How have you all been? I had a wonderful holiday season with my family. My kids are little and I can't help but soaking up every bit of this magical time of year with them.

Now that things are "back to normal", I hope you are ready to see this beautiful home. The Chateau Modern was beautiful and stunning, but this home holds a special place in my heart.  It is a great example of Mexican Colonial architecture, and I felt one of the more "livable" plans on the Street of Dreams.

The exterior is perfect blend of old world charm and crisp and clean.

I adored this stone archway and what a grand entryway.

The glorious front door is hand-carved and a replica of a door found on a home in Michoacán, Mexico. A large and heavy front door, but as you will see, you won't be leaving this home anytime soon....

Gorgeous isn't it? This beautiful ceiling was above you as you entered.

This view stopped me in my tracks, I would love to have a entry like this!!

From the covered loggia, on the way to the house you pass by you own private courtyard. With a vertical wall garden, flowers and a fireplace I can see my family socializing out here for hours!

If that beautiful courtyard wasn't enough, once you enter you can't help but noticing the soaring 23 foot ceiling with five exposed trusses.

Complete with a stunning fireplace.

The carved cantera stone fireplace is one of my favorites.

Connected to the grand room is the kitchen.

Such a colorful area to cook. I'll bet you'd never make a bad dish here!

I adored this dutch door to the outside! Another way to let in the beautiful weather.

This is one of the more elaborate paneled fridges I have ever seen! Such added character to the room!

Just off the kitchen is the dining room. It opens up to the interior courtyard for easy indoor outdoor entertaining. I am sure there is supposed to be a fabulous fixture over the table, it didn't get installed in time for the show. :(

Let's go down the hall to the west side of the house...

We find a colorful bathroom!

Check out the fun shower...

Just across the bath is the laundry room. I love the floor tiles in shape and color!

And at the end of the hall is a fabulous tequilla room! I loved the chandelier made with tequilla bottles.

Turning around and looking down the hall let's go back out to the courtyard...

Here is the beautiful vertical wall garden just outside of the Casita.

Decorated as an office it would also make a great music or guest room.

Complete with an attached closet and bathroom.

Beautiful copper fixtures pick up on the copper in the accent tiles.

Back inside the home, off of the great room is the master bedroom. I loved how cozy feeling it was.

A beautiful carved headboard.

And check out that barrel ceiling!!!

The master bath was large and luxurious. Who wouldn't want to catch up on their favorite shows while taking a long hot bath!

The shower was so roomy and I loved the light streaming in from the window.

Check out the beautiful tile work!

Down the hall from the bedroom is the east side of the house. I love how all the doors open onto the courtyard. Such a great home for entertaining the way we do here in the southwest.

Let's head to the room at the end of the hall.

Such a sweet room.
The cool blue loveseat was nice to see after all of the warm colors in the rest of the house.

I am a sucker for window seats! I could curl up right here, grab a book from the bookshelf, and be happy for hours.

The adjoining bath was beautiful as well.

The next room was bold and exciting.

Such fun colors! I love that bed and this was my daughter's favorite room!

Beautiful blue talavera tile in the bathroom.

Next is the flex room. I wish I had a better shot of the sliding barn doors you can see there on the left.

A cozy place to watch some TV....

Or venture outside to a private garden and sitting area

Around the corner is a beautiful walkway that will be even more beautiful once the foliage has a chance to grow up and around.

Leading out to a beautiful pool!

I hope you enjoyed this home. It was so full of warmth and heart I could stay here all day!

Next is the final home on the tour...

See you soon!

  1. Annie, I love how you took us throughout the home and the exterior. There is so much inspiration in each photo... it took me a while to go through all of them. I will sure come back when I need to feed my soul.

    1. Hi Livia, Thanks so much for your comment. Throughout this whole series I have struggled with adding more commentary or not. In the end I felt, like you, that there was indeed so much inspiration in each photo and decided to have the photos speak for themselves. Thanks again for visiting. :)

  2. In the process of building a new house so I am on design blog overload at the moment but what I have decided that I want more than anything in my new house is - I want to love every single thing.
